Congratulations to the boys and girls of Cub Scout Pack 744 for an outstanding 2023-2024 program year and all they’ve achieved! With our program year concluded and weekly meetings paused until August, the excitement is just heating up. Our Summertime program kicks off June 1 and comes packed with sun-soaked adventures and sizzling fun all summer long!
From outdoor adventures like water bottle rockets and fishing, to camping, archery, BBs, swimming, and more, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Our Summertime events are crafted for Scouts and their friends to have fun, build friendships, and experience the excitement of being a Cub Scout!
Since progressing to their new Dens, Scouts can begin working on adventures for their new rank starting June 1. Among those, Scouts who participate in at least three summertime events will receive the Summertime Fun adventure at our Pack Meeting on August 20th.

June 2024
Scout Night with Richmond Kickers – Saturday, June, 8
Join fellow Scouts to cheer for the Richmond Kickers during their match against the Charlotte Independence.
Cub Scout Day Camp at Deep Run Park – June 10 – 14
Open to both registered Scouts and the general public, Cub Scout Day Camp takes place daily at Deep Run Park, and offers a week of thrilling activities such as archery, sports, and more.
Water Bottle Rocket Launch at Crump Park – Tuesday, June 25
Have a blast building a rocket from a 2-liter soda bottle and prepare for liftoff at our Crump Park launch event!

Pack Pool Party – Tuesday, July 9
Beat the summer heat and make a splash with Pack 744 during our exciting poolside adventure!
Cub Scout Summer Camp at Cub Adventure Camp – July 12-15
Blast into adventure at Cub Adventure Camp in Goochland, VA for four days of exciting camp activities, including fishing, BB guns, archery, swimming, and much more.
Cub Scout Olympics – Tuesday, July 23
Celebrate the Paris Olympic Games at the inaugural Olympiad of Cub Scout Pack 744, where Scouts and friends showcase their skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship in thrilling events!
Scout Night with the Richmond Flying Squirrels – Friday, July 26
Root, root, root for the home team with peanuts, Cracker Jacks, and a post-game movie in the outfield just for Scout families and their friends!

National Night Out – Tuesday, August 6
Connect with neighbors, meet local heroes, and discover the excitement of Scouting as Cub Scout Pack 744 celebrates our community at National Night Out!
Fishing Fun Day – Saturday, August 10

Pack Open House and LEGO Pinewood Derby – Tuesday, August 27
Brick by brick, race by race, snap into a turbocharged adventure where creativity and speed collide for Scouts and their friends at our Pack Open House and LEGO Pinewood Derby!
Whether it’s launching rockets, splashing at the pool, camping under the stars, or racing LEGO cars, this summer is full of adventure!
